2022 Content & workflow Update

Now that I’ve rested up a bit and had a chance to think about how 2022 is gonna go down, I thought I’d jot down some of my thoughts and share them with you before we move forward…

What’s happened so far:

2021 was an entire year dedicated to the act of fulfilling my obligations to draw every character that was nominated to the now defunct Pinup Poll, even if the pic was just a consolation.

I also wanted to finish up the sketch suggestion pool and there were a LOT of them. Those suggestions, along with the Pinup Poll were an incredible time-sink that I really wanted to be free of so I could focus on delivering content that everyone can enjoy.

Towards the end of the year you got a taste of my general workflow going forward- focusing heavily on  theme-driven content, but doing so (mostly) with my own characters.

And so, here’s a list of changes that we’ll be seeing going into 2022!

Bi-monthly distribution packs

I’m changing up the pace at which I release download packs to bi-monthly. This will give me more leeway to get  more material into a single pack, while also brining down my stress levels and allowing  me the time to make every pack worthwhile. I know this means you’ll need to be more patient between downloads, but I believe this will make each pack all the more worth it once it’s done.

Less Fanart & Rule 34

I haven’t been sitting idly all this time!

I’ve used the first part of January to go through my personal folders, reorganizing my content and “clearing the decks” as it were.  Doing so has given me the opportunity to see what I’ve done right and wrong over the past few years.

One of the biggest, glaring errors is that I’ve done way too much Rule 34, and haven’t put nearly enough work into my own characters or world. I aim to change that this year. Heck,  it was my aim to change that way back in 2020, but we had to go through my “obligation phase” in 2021 in order to get here.

My Upgrade schedule will remain the same, and I do still intend to do fanart stuff from time to time, but Iaim to minimize Rule34 content as much as possible from now on.

Finish Jackals and Batteries

I apologize for  abandoningthe main comic in the latter half of last year. Believe me, I didn’t want to have to stack all the other obligations I had like that, but I think it was the best way to handle it.

Like I said,  I really wanted to finish as many Upgrades and lingering projects as possible before the new year began so we could start with as fresh a plate as it gets for me. I may haveburned myself out towards the end there, but I think it was worth it and now we can finally start working on the next step for Tsenaya, which involves Maeko Mongooseand her ship! I definitely plan on putting a ton of work into Maeko, Tsenaya and Nailah this year, even outside the comic.

Dakis

- I definitely plan to do a Nailah themed dakimakura this year. You have all been so incredibly patient with me on this and you deserve a harsh jackal-mama on your beds and in your collections. I aim to get that done for you!

Aside from that, I was thinking that I might want to update the Tsenaya dakimakura, and perhaps we could even get a Gatomon or femaleGarurumon out and into your beds, but I’m not sure if we’ll have time this year for all of that. We’ll see what happens!

Animations

-I very much enjoyed that little loop that I did for last year’s Reindeer Games and I’d like to try some more little animation experiments. They take lots of time, so it’s more than likely that I wouldn’t be able to do a lot within a given year along with my other commitments, but I’d like to try doing at least the occasional loop here and there, so there’s that to look forward to as well.

$10 Tier on Subscribestar now available

- As I get geared up to move back into comic-creation mode, I realized that it’s gonna be way too much of a hassle to try and separate HD comics from the Subscribestar peeps due to the tier just not being there. Also, I’ve received quite a few requests from people who just wanna move their entire pledge over to Subscribestar and aren’t really concerned about the poll voting, so I’ve decided to go ahead and make this tier available over there for those of you who are interested.

And on that note, I was thinking about maybe launching...

A Discord Server?

-I have been racking my brain about this hypno-content thing and the fact that it’s so unfair to those of you who would like to access all of the material, yet can’t get Subscribestar to work for you due to reasons outside of your control.

While there are solutions coming down the pipeline, it seems as though none of them will be ready any time soon, and with whispers of paid tier-channels in the works for Discord, it seems as though it may finally be time for me to open a little channel of my own.

There are like…a ton of channels. Every other artist has one and I feel like I may be adding to this “problem” by starting my own, but for now at least it’s the only way to get everybody on the same page in terms of content without violating Patreon’s content policies towards hypnotism.

I’m not sture as to how you’d all feel about that so I’ll post a little poll after this to get your thoughts on it. Stay tuned!
