WIP: Trying a new way to animate
I told you I would be doing some experimental animations this month.
I'm going to try a new method of animation because I'm running into the limitations of how I was animating before. This is mostly about technique not any specific software tricks.
Before when animating I would always just animate straight ahead. Essentially doing the scene from the start to finish. I'd animate and complete the first second, then animate and complete the second and so on. Essentially making it up as I go.
This was fine for my shorter animations but the strategy basically fell apart when the animations started to get longer than 30s cause I had to plan ahead at that point.
This time I'm going to attempt something called "blocking" or at least I think that's the term. Where I do the entire animation in passes. The first being a rough pass with barely any actual animation, just most of the core posing, and then going back and refining it through several refinement steps.
So far the result is me knocking out 60s of animation in 1 day, albeit it's SUPER rough animation, so I'll go back and do a few refinement passes on it. It might take me a bit longer on this animation specifically but I feel like if I get the hang of the workflow it can become something really fast. I want to learn what are basically industry standard techniques (even if I gotta figure em out myself) and get good enough to start doing longer videos without feeling like I'm tanking the quality to do so.
I didn't render anything cause like I said, what I have is super rough right now but I'm hoping the end result justifies it. The plan is to have her jerk you off with her tail for a bit before inserting it. Should be a good time for everyone.
