The Bunny Series

This started off 2018 where I, in a very small way, decided to draw pretty much a playboy bunny holing a trophy for every milestone I made early on in my Twitter days.

It was one drawing that was altered every hundred or so followers. And the gag was that the trophy would continue to get bigger and bigger, as my bunny struggles to hold it.

At some point, which was around 800 followers, I was growing rapidly and found it hard as hell to keep up with it. But earlier on, I did have the idea to make something huge out of the gag and go balls out for the bigger milestone which was whenever I were to get close to 1,000 followers.

At this point, when I made the short 3 page manga, I was falling behind on the bunny trophy updates. I had gotten up to 600 and around this time I was juggling regular drawings, commissions, and cutiesaturday. I had a shit ton on my plate, so for fun, I decided to make a little mini manga to break the forth wall a bit and show what my bunny was up to, and let everyone know I was still planning to continue the ‘arc’ so to speak.

Not that that many people gave a shit, but I totally did and was (am still) the biggest fucking fan of this show I put on. So by this time, shit was happening fast, I was up to 800+ followers, and had severely missed that mark to make something for it due to all of the many other things I was doing almost daily at this point. We were nearing Halloween, and I was busy as shit, because now I had taken on the task at managing regular drawings, commissions, cutiesaturday, and INKTOBER of all things!!! So my carriage was over flowing to say the least. And at this point, I had well surpassed 1.7k followers I think.

So I was gunning it to finish up this second chapter of the mini series, and as I putting together a script for it, I had to keep fucking changing the amount of followers I was behind on commemorating. So from having 800 since last we saw of my bunny girl, I had gained 900 fucking more in that time, all within the span of about a month month. Really it took 2 months to go from 200 followers to 1,000 so shit yeah I felt like I was absolutely on top of the fucking world and finally making headway after years of tried to get anywhere beyond just 34 followers.

Yeah, in the beginning around 2015-2016 I was a damn ghost to people. I would be, for 2 whole years, be stuck between 23 and 34 followers. And that honestly is why I appreciated the fucking ever loving shit out of every little milestone. And I seriously resented so many other artists for not showing as much appreciation for them as I was, because even to this day where I have 17.9k followers I never EVER forgot the shame and pain of having to prove myself. And it was a hell that can’t say I would ever like to visit ever again, let alone see others go through either. And yet, simultaneously, I did as well hold deep resentment towards “crappier” artists that were making more headway than me but had started their accounts much earlier than me. But that’s a whole other story.

Point is, I loved the attention and had to make my mark. So sprinkled through all the commissions, inktober, and all the other drawings, I managed to complete the manga within exactly a months time. And when it was time to launch it, that Halloween of 2018, it honestly was a feeling I will never forget. It was so fucking satisfying! Making a solid back breaking effort, (literally, b/c I was drawing this shit on a concrete living-room floor), and successfully making all my goals into a reality, I had made a huge Halloween themed chapter and trophy that has a whole story and continuity to it, introduced a new bunny all of which remain nameless...

Fuck I was badass!!

So after that, I just went on mostly on a much longer road to just perfecting my art and making better and better looking drawings for the next few commemorative posts. And the 3k one having a direct reference to a One Piece covet page with Sadi and Domino eating out together, and in the 1k I made a reference to that iconic “1000 years of death!!!” scene from Naruto, that and to Spider-man ps4 because I had beaten it around then. And that Christmas on was for 4K followers which was the sexiest thing I had made then and even to this day, the composition is spot on.

So that was about it, the soy was finished and they made a few more appearances here and there, but by the time I hit 10k they were definitely an obscure reference to tweets that are probably way too old to be seen at this point, so here ya go guys. That’s the whole story that I can remember more or less.
