I've been re-playing Breath of Fire 2 a little bit before bed, and I never really got into the cooking mechanic.
But it turns out to be an alchemy mechanic, to "cook" all kinds of items, including items that permanently increase a character's stats...

So I started shoving them into my favorite character's mouth.
