❤️ Small Ways to Be Kind to Yourself ❤️

I’m not great at life, sometimes. But I am finding ways to treat myself with kindness.

I made this list for my fridge last year, when I was feeling incredibly low and unsafe. I looked at it very consciously today and I thought it could be a nice thing to share.

It’s not a cure-all (because absolutely nothing on its own is) but it could be a small act of kindness to implant into your everyday.

Last year was the hardest yet for me. I was suicidal, I never felt safe, my mom had to move in with me. I would be recording in the morning, editing, answering DM’s and then sobbing hysterically in the afternoon, being cradle by my mom in bed, thinking “I just can’t do this anymore”.

Life is hard for everyone. We cannot be intelligent, empathetic people unless we accept the fact that we all struggle.

From someone who is continuously learning, making mistakes, and really just feels like they don’t know what they’re doing - I promise you, it can and will get better. Not overnight, not by taking a pill or going to one therapy session, but by showing up for yourself in all the little ways that make all the difference.

Maybe a list could be one of them.

Respect and wishing you well,

This sloppy bitch :)
