Naked Gun MKII
The Welrod Pistol was developed at Station IX in Welwyn Garden City, by Major Hugh Reeves of the Inter-Services Research Bureau, in late 1942. Interestingly, the .32 ACP MK2 model actually came first, and was succeeded by the 9mm MK1, after poor field results. Despite being designed for silent operations, both versions had the peculiar characteristic of growing progressively louder the more times they were fired.
