Beneath the silent pillar of the Directory Engine lies a forgotten maintenance complex where the true machinery of Mortisphere’s record-keeping once operated. This sealed gear works has recently begun to awaken, its ancient systems churning out corrupted glyphs that hint at a surviving fragment of the Atlas Vex buried deep within. The sublevels, however, are now overrun by swarms of crawling claws—former maintenance constructs animated by lingering negative energy—and any who seek the lost data must first survive the rogue caretakers that still jealously guard the mechanisms below.
