Force of Nature P 104
Ok back again.
I’ve been thinking about the unique challenges of creating fully colored online comics on my own. It’s tricky finding the right balance between how often to post and keeping the story moving. For example, it feels a bit underwhelming to have a weekly update where all that happens is a character moves a chair. On the other hand, dedicating more panels to these small actions can really add depth and give a better sense of character, but it does slow the story down.
In traditional comics, where entire teams work together and release the whole thing at once, there’s more freedom to pace things differently. As a solo creator, I could let each page unfold more slowly, but I worry that might not keep readers engaged. This balancing act seems to come with the territory of weekly online comics. I’m always aiming to push the story forward and keep things interesting.
Just some thoughts—there’s really no right or wrong in art, just constant adjustments and sometimes struggling to find that sweet spot.
