"Project Apothecary" developer interview 2

Hello everyone, it's good to see you again. This is a developer chat session in between two major releases. I had a fun imagining having a cozy chat with you all in a snow-covered house with a fireplace, discussing the new game over an afternoon tea in a room with floor-to-ceiling windows. And then maybe some D&D games to follow.

But let's get back to reality and talk about our exciting new game “project pharmacist”

"The Stone Mason Leader of the Defense Line in Warcraft." Join as you form the backbone of the Adventurer Support Guild in the disastrous defense. Together, in the prologue, we'll escape the chaos of the monster surge. And in chapter one, we'll head to a town plagued by goblin raids with our defense line.

In the game, the adventure unfolds in a 4+1+1 formation, with 4 teammates positioning around a tank captain and the main character serving as the only healer in the back providing healing.

In combat, both enemies and allies have blue action progress bars. The action progress bar increases every second based on each character's speed, and when it reaches 100%, they will automatically perform an action. For enemies, it will be a normal attack or they'll start casting a skill. For allies, we have simplified their actions to just a single attack, and these actions are controlled by AI in real-time.

Enemies in combat may also release skills with negative effects and DOTs, requiring players to control the main character to plan the real-time distribution of healing potions to maintain the team's health and to use targeted purification potions to remove negative buffs.

In terms of game development progress, our current design scale is enough to develop a game demo. The main programmer's pace is becoming more stable, and we will shift the focus of development from the new features of BeastBeat to "Project Apothecary."

It will still be a dual-end game for PC and Android. The demo development will begin this month, and when it's completed, I will open up applications for the experience. Players who play the demo and write a review and participate in a user survey will be eligible for the experience. We don't set a limit on the number of people. In the early stages of the game, when the softest period for rubber mud is in the early stages of the game, it is easier to make modifications.

"BeastBeat v0.0.8 will be updated on March 5th, its theme keywords are ocean, dragon, and tentacles! Looking forward to our next chat, feel free to express yourself in the comments section, I'll be keeping an eye on Patreon for a while and try to respond as promptly as possible.
