I will tell you that, as a rule, Bernard would never engage in such activity. He is quite serious about his post and duty being first and foremost. So, why does this young man seem to know so much about Bernard? Does his beauty simply strike Bernard in such a way?

Bernard isn't stupid or naive. He may analyze his situation carefully and come to a quick decision. What is safe, and what is not. His position with Lord Liam didn't come to him from foolish thinking.

I suspect many of you would attempt the same on good 'ol Bernard. I mean, I'd totally try!
