Nude Byte Extras: July 2024

As mentioned before, there are no more NPCs to show anymore. Instead, I'm sharing sketches of NPCs that didn't make the cut.

For this month, I want to show this sketch of a girl named "Himiga".

In Nude Byte, there's a theme for all NPCs: Each of them is a bootleg of existing characters with a trait that's altered.

Himiga is the sane version of Himiko.

To be honest, I don't know why I named her Himiga, but that's what's written in my notes here. I don't really have anything in mind for this NPC. She's one of those ideas that didn't turn out great, imo.

NPC aside, now that we know Full Nude Byte will be in the works in the future, I want to share what I have made for it so far:

Well, we all know the Bath House. We've seen it so many times that it's not surprising anymore.

New Goddesses. Yes, we already know that as well. But new Goddesses means there's a new game mode!

The menu to go there looks the same, but once you enter a map, the gameplay is different!

Instead of looking for a Firewall to get a ball, smaller balls pop out of enemies whenever you defeat them instead. You take them and shoot them in the goal like a basketball.
Compared to the Tangent Twins games, you need to collect more balls this time!
But Bytes won't just stand there and let you take them. There's a new Gigabyte that'll mess with your game!

They're called "Lurkers". One appears out of nowhere and steals unattended balls. So you better run quickly and shoot it before it takes one!

Aside from the new game mode, I've been experimenting with another different gameplay.

Here, you enter the battlefield without any dolls. So you must sneak your way through the Bytes and reach your goal.

Bytes show their field of vision so you can plan your move.

But, like I said, it's only an experiment. It's still early in development, and I can't promise that I will be able to put this in the final game.

As previously mentioned, I will take a break from developing Nude Byte for several months. And to be honest, I'm not sure what to share with $5 that's related to Nude Byte during that time... But maybe it wouldn't matter since we will still have $5 polls! (As promised last month, it will be 3D poses this time)
