Nude Byte Extras: July 2023

This month's NPC will be the shortstack: Dimi

In Nude Byte, there's a theme for all NPCs: Each of them are bootlegs of existing characters with a trait that's altered.

Dimi is a short version of Dimitrescu from Resident Evil Village.

There isn't much to show about Dimi. There weren't any other sketches or early designs that I can show. (Well, maybe the claw hands of hers that I later changed to a cigar instead, which can be seen above)

And to honest, I'm not really into her to get interested and say things about her. (Luckily, I managed to hire a writer for her who can write wordy dialogues. Perfect for her. Unfortunately for me, wordy = high word count, and paying writers are based on word count. A huge ouch to my wallet)

So instead, let me show another NPC who wasn't able to get into the game: Earth-chan

However, as mentioned before, NPCs have a theme where an existing character was given an altered trait.
But this NPC doesn't have any "altered trait". She's just Earth-chan.
So I gave her a dirt look, hoping to turn her into a "Post-apocalyptic Earth-chan", but it doesn't sound like an interesting idea.

I wanted to improve her, but tragedy struck: I accidentally lost NPC files during game development, and Earth-chan's file was one of them. The artworks above are the final artworks being used as assets in the game, but the original PSD is gone.

But it's not a huge loss for me, I managed to come up with several NPC ideas anyway.
