BTS - Mercy 4.0 Update

A shame that I didn't get the Update done for the Valentine's Day post, but I guess its a good last one for the old 3.4 model.

Things that I changed:

-Hair Remodeled. The bangs was a full rework. Started fresh. I layered the Hair to add depth and volume. Should be closer to the Overwatch Version, in terms of shape. There is a secondary particle system, that is focused on adding "Hero" strands. They are the hairs that don't quite follow the base shape. Bits of disorder to add to realism.

-Hair Shader got overhauled, and features a very nice bit of sheen to it. The old one was too flat looking. No pop to it. The new system catches more light, and makes it easier to see individual hairs.

-New Vellus hair system(or Peach fuzz). The small hairs that cover everyone's body. Since I redid the shaders for the hair. I applied those changes to the Vellus hairs. I stopped adding Vellus hairs awhile back because you just couldn't see them. They blended into her skin. New shaders allow the hair to better catch light, thus become more visible. Also changed the shape of the hairs. On a per single strand basis, there is variation so the hairs aren't so uniform.

-Skin Texture updated. Adjusted the consistency the skin detail. Pores, wrinkles, and other small micro-details. The height is more even across the body, and some UV islands were rotated to help the Normal maps display the height in the proper direction.

-New Make-up, eyeshadow and eyeliner. 

-Skin Shader small update. Added a layer weight into the material shaders, to more exaggerate the female form. It effectively adds some darker coloring to the faces that are at a sharper angle from the camera. Kind of like how Nylon stockings add a dark border around the outside of the legs.

-Face restructured in specific areas. In the new and old images the face and body are in their base resting position. The closing of the mouth, allowed for the easier rigging of her lips. The shape of her eyelids were adjusted to more closely resemble the in game Overwatch model. Softened her nose and nose bridge. Chin was very slightly adjusted to be more feminine. Lips were slightly buffed.

-Torso re-sculpted. Better looking breasts! Slightly bigger, more gravity, so.. slightly saggier. Less pronounced shoulder definition. New belly button! Apparently male and female belly buttons are measurably different shaped. So the belly button was made more feminine. Small changes made to the hips and pubic area. 

-Knees, arms, and hands redone, It seems that I forgot to render out a picture for those... They just were adjusted to follow real world knee/arm/hand structure.

-New body Armature! Re-rigged everything. All the joints are weighted properly and should cause less problems when posing. Overall should cut down on time wasted on adjusting after I pose.

-New Face Armature! Same as the body, I will have to do less after posing to correct issues.

I'm currently working on a Mercy set that'll allow for these changes to be seen more clearly. It will be similar to the Brigitte KS Photoshoot set. Inspired by another Instagram model! So look forward to that!
