Team Rocket - Preview

It's the middle of the night, deep within Team Rockets' secret hideout, Meowth yet again hashes out another scheme to thwart the goody-two-shoes trainers and abscond with their Pokemon. Sitting at his drafting table, absorbed in thought, the feline leafs through all manner of blueprints, technical drawings, and intelligence briefings.

His previous scheme turned out to be a partial success...probably the closest they'd ever come to purloining with the slippery foe that is a Pikachu. As it turns out, Ash is not gay...and thusly all of Jame's advances were for naught. Jessie on the other hand, excelled at enticing Mrs. Ketchum, far beyond Meowth's wildest expectations. So much so, that Jessie...eventually discovering that Delia would be of little help to their plan...had to file a restraining order against the obsessive matriarch.

Team Rocket's subterranean hideaway can be a spooky place in the middle of the night. The slightest pin-drop echoes through the structure, thousands of tons of steel and concrete above them making all manner of eerie noises as it cools after a hot summer day. Seemingly oblivious to it while preoccupied with his stratagems, even Meowth is sometimes unnerved by the strange resonances.

Deep in thought, Meowth's ears suddenly perk up, the feline twists on his stool to see if anyone is there. Seeing nothing in the darkness beyond his desk lamp, he turns back to his work, chalking it up to an overactive imagination. Moments later, another noise, this time closer...Meowth turned to see a shadow in the corridor passing his office door.

Meowth: Who's there?

The cat jumps down from his perch, apprehensively walking towards the darkened doorway. Another noise, this time closer, Meowth instinctively raises his paws in front of him as if he's about to perform a knifehand chop. He doesn't actually know karate though.

Meowth: (audibly nervous) Who's there? Show yourself!
