"Petri is conducting experiments again..."

This week's art post was quite the conundrum for me.

I was very satisfied with the end results of the line art layers, but as I reached the rendering steps I became quite conflicted. I wasn't sure how I wanted the final result to look. In the end, I reached two outcomes - a much more detailed render and a simpler more stylised look. Even though the detailed rendered version took a lot more work, I feel as though it looks overworked when compared to the simpler stylised rendition. I couldn't decide which I preferred.

This internal conflict has made me seriously consider how I want to render / colour art in the future and has left me with a lot to think about. If you have a preference on which style you prefer, please do let me know. ^w^
