写真とAI画像生成と二次創作(Blog)

写真を撮ることが私の旅に次ぐ第二の趣味です。あくまで趣味レベルですが、かなり本格的に取り組んでいます。人物写真ではなく、スナップや自然風景、建築物を主に撮っています。

写真制作において、「撮るまでが半分、撮ってからが半分」などと言われます。撮影はもちろん大切ですが、それと同じくらい撮影後の選別やレタッチ等の工程も重要です。

現時点でのAI画像生成の制作フローは、写真の制作フローと非常に似ていると感じています。違うのはAIに指示をして、AIに撮影（生成）してもらうことだけです。生成後に何を選ぶかは、何をどのように伝えたいかに直結する行為であり、アート性や個性を生み出していると十分に言えると思っています。

いわゆる二次創作も今回初めて挑戦しているのですが、二次創作も写真と似ているような気がします。写真も被写体が魅力的かどうかに大きく左右されるのですが、いかに魅力的なものを見つけるか、いかに魅力的に撮るかなどは撮り手の技量によります。建築写真はもちろん他人の作ったものであり二次創作的ですが、自然写真を地球の二次創作だと捉えると面白いかもしれません。

絵画と写真を同じ土俵で比べると、写真は制約が多く縛りプレイのように思えます。思い通りの位置に鳥を配置することにも苦労するし、重たいレンズを付け替えないと画角も変えられません。後工程で変えられるのは基本的には色と明るさだけです。空想を写真に撮ることはできません。

一方で絵画も自由度は高いものの、技術の習得が大変だし、作品を作り上げるのに時間もかかります。

AI画像生成は手軽に思い通りの結果を得られるツールになっていくでしょう。絵画と写真のいいとこどりをするように。

私は絵画、写真、CG等に続く新しい表現の道具としてのAI画像生成に期待しています。まだまだ粗が多いですが、実験や練習の意味も込めて技術向上に取り組んでいきたいと考えています。

今後は私の独自性をより活かして、支援者の皆さまに喜んでいただける作品を作りたいと思っています。具体的には、実際に旅先で撮った写真とキャラクターを組み合わせ、より旅らしい作品を作りたいと思っています。エロは完全初挑戦なのでまだまだ拙いですが勉強中です！

Taking photos is my second favorite hobby after traveling. Although it's just a hobby, I'm quite serious about it, focusing mainly on snapshots, natural landscapes, and architecture rather than portraits.

In photography, it's often said that "half the work is taking the shot, and the other half is what comes after." While capturing the image is important, the post-processing, such as selecting and retouching, is equally crucial. I feel that the current workflow of AI-generated images is very similar to photography. The main difference is that we give instructions to the AI and let it capture (generate) the image. The selection process after generation is directly connected to what we want to express, and I believe it's enough to create artistry and uniqueness.

I'm trying my hand at derivative works for the first time, and I find them similar to photography. The attractiveness of the subject greatly influences the outcome, but how well you can find and capture appealing subjects depends on the photographer's skills. Architectural photography is, of course, a form of derivative work, but it's interesting to think of nature photography as the Earth's derivative work.

Comparing painting and photography on the same level, photography has many constraints, making it feel restrictive. It's difficult to place a bird exactly where you want it, and changing the angle requires swapping heavy lenses. Essentially, only color and brightness can be adjusted in post-processing, and you can't capture your imagination directly in a photo. While painting offers more freedom, mastering the technique is challenging and time-consuming.

AI-generated images will likely become a tool for easily achieving the desired results, combining the best aspects of painting and photography. I'm excited about AI-generated images as a new means of expression, following in the footsteps of painting, photography, and CG. Although there's still much room for improvement, I'm committed to enhancing my skills through experimentation and practice.

In the future, I want to create works that will delight my supporters by leveraging my unique style. Specifically, I'd like to combine actual photos taken during my travels with characters to create more travel-themed pieces. It's my first time working with erotic themes, so I'm still learning, but I'm eager to improve!
