Long awaited upgrade, but in the wrong moment.

June, the 12th, with Inna.
I managed to get this new model out of my mind to concentrate on Elfa just 4 days later, but now I can finally go back to her, to realize what a good job we did together.
Today's shot was shot on the Leica SL2-S + the inexpensive Contax-Zeiss Planar T* 50mm f1.7, closed at f2.8, my favorite aperture with most lenses for portraits and nudes.
I'm always surprised by the quality of this old lens, and how it is working on the SL2-S!
Speaking of this Leica, I finally installed the latest firmware update, and it solved one of the greatest problems I was complaining about on this camera.
Before, if I wanted to use the image stabilization from the sensor, I was compelled to select focal length from the lists of Leica M or Leica R lenses, any other focal length was impossible to be stabilized, and I had to sit with the system turned off.
After the firmware update, another voice has appeared in the menu, OTHERS, that means you can select virtually any focal length, so the sensor can help you stabilizing every lens you can throw at it.
The Panasonic Lumix S1 was already equipped with this fine tuning, on it you can actually dial in whatever number you want, and this was possible right from the start!
I've just made a new video on YouTube about this argument, but it is only in Italian.
What really matters is that I can finally mount my beloved Voigtländer Nokton 58mm f1.4 SL II on the SL2-S and rely on the sensor to let me get the most out of it for the very first time!
Just now that I was getting attached to the Contax-Zeiss Planar T* 50mm f1.7... not sure I'm ready to give up this honeymoon yet.
