[Early] 天鳥船ノ唄
I suddenly felt like drawing Tulin, so I did. If I miss this kind of timing, I usually never paint again.
I will release it to the public after some time has passed.
I will also post a time-lapse in another post this time.(Posted on Discord)
I often use this painting method of roughly separating colors in one layer and then gradually adding details when painting backgrounds, but this time I tried it with a character. It can be used as an overpainting technique, but I am still considering adopting it for commissions because it is very difficult to correct mistakes.
Rather than painting everything completely, it is important to adjust the drawing of the points you want to emphasize and those you don't. It also serves to focus the eye and shortens the time. Even in a time lapse, the painting is already done around 20 seconds in, and then it is a process of refining the quality. In the case of this art, the focus is on the area around the face, and the further you move away from that area, the rougher the touch remains. However, I don't think the result will bother you. I like art that leaves a rough hand-drawn touch, so I would like to be able to use this more.
