Current status and plans 近況と予定

Hello everyone, it's been a while. This summer was extremely hot all over the world (at least in the northern hemisphere).

　Sapporo, where I live, was no exception, and it was the hottest summer in recorded history. Being the northernmost large city in Japan, Sapporo is characterized by low humidity even in summer. There are usually only seven midsummer days a year with tropical nights. This year, however, it was as humid and hot and humid as Tokyo, and it continued for more than a month from August.

　As I have often mentioned, I live in a rented house where it is not possible to install an air conditioner, so until last year I had been using a mobile air conditioner to get by. The radiator is located inside the room, which makes it very noisy, and the cooling efficiency is also poor, so the temperature only drops to 28℃ (tears).

　On top of that, it has been so hot this year that we had to move the air conditioner from the work room because we could not even sleep without it in the bedroom. In other words, it was virtually impossible to spend the month of August in the workroom, and we got no results. I was just trying to stay alive and not die of heat stroke. Well, I did occasionally travel to cooler places...but since this is the northernmost point of Japan, it was hot everywhere.

　Well...I am glad that I did not have such a summer last year when the production of the DLC (FME) was at its climax. However, I was not in good physical condition and the summer was empty.

　皆さん、ご無沙汰しております。今年の夏は世界中で猛暑でしたね（少なくとも北半球では）。

　私の住んでいる札幌も例に漏れず、観測史上最も暑い夏でした。日本で最北端の大都市である札幌は、夏でも湿度が低いのが特徴。熱帯夜となるような真夏日も1年間に例年は7日程度です。ところが今年は東京のように湿度が高くて蒸し暑く、さらにそれが8月から1か月以上続くという事態でした。

　たびたび言っている通り私の住んでいる部屋はクーラーを設置出来ない借家なので、これまで移動式のクーラーで昨年まで凌いでいました。これはラジエーターが部屋の中にあるので非常に五月蠅く、また冷却効率も悪いので28℃までしか下がりません（涙）。

　そのうえ、今年は暑すぎてクーラーを寝室に付けないと眠ることすら出来ない状態が続いたので作業部屋から移動させていました。つまり8月は事実上作業部屋で過ごすことが不可能で、なんの成果も得られませんでした～。熱中症で死なないように生きる事で精一杯でしたね。まぁ、たまに涼しい場所へ旅行したりはしたんですが…日本最北端がコレですから、結局どこも暑かったです。

　まぁ…DLC（FME）の製作佳境だった昨年にこのような夏を迎えなくて良かったと思います。とはいえ体調も良くなかったし、せっかくの夏が虚無でした。

DVD version and premature move

Well, it finally cooled off around mid-September. The discussion about purchasing a second-hand property that I told you about before was finalized by July, and we planned to move at the end of the year. So I was spending my time leisurely playing Armored Core, and then I suddenly received the happy news that I could move in mid-November, so I decided to hurry up and prepare for the move while working on the DVD edition.

　Unlike the Full Moon Edition, the DVD version is not a stand-alone version of the extended data, but a complete version that combines the old and new data. It would be a pity if, unlike the DL version, you bought the DVD and then went home and said, "I need the other data! Therefore, the only newly created content is the illustration for the package (the image is a work in progress).

　As I mentioned before, I am sorry, but we do not plan to actively sell the product through overseas sales channels. Sorry to everyone overseas. If there is a site where you can purchase from overseas, please purchase from there. The plan is to release the product early in 2024.

DVD版と早まった引越し

　さて、9月中旬あたりからやっと涼しくなりました。以前お話しした中古物件の購入の話しが7月までにまとまっており、年末に引越す予定となった。なのでのんびりアーマードコアをプレイして過ごしていたところ、急遽『11中旬に引越し可能』という嬉しい知らせが飛び込んできたのでになったとのことで、現在急いで引越の準備をしつつのDVD版製作作業となりました。

　さて、このDVD版はFull Moon Editionのような拡張データ単体ではなく、新旧を合体した完全版として収録します。DL販売と違って購入して家に帰ってから「別データが必要です！」となったら哀しいですからね。ですので、新規に製作されたコンテンツはパッケージ用のイラストのみです（画像は製作途中のものです）。

　以前も言いましたが、申し訳ありませんが海外向けの販路で積極的に販売する予定はありません。海外の皆さん、ごめんなさい。もし、海外から購入出来るサイトが有る場合はそちらからお求めください。予定では2024年の早い時期に発売となる予定です。

Android version and future creations

　We are considering creating an Android version, but we need to verify whether the lip-sync mechanism, which was implemented on the PC version using machine power (for convenience, two videos are played back simultaneously and mouth parts are displayed when necessary), can be successfully reproduced on the Android version.... I am not sure. And even if it can be done, it is also important to consider whether the specs are not too unreasonable.

　Well...I think I'll start verifying the Android version and working on new creations after the move is over and the internet connection is available. So, I will not be able to do any significant updates for a while. Please feel free to remove your support. If you think we have started something interesting for you, we would like to have your support.

Android版と今後の創作

　続いてAndroid版の製作も検討中ですが、PC版はマシンパワーにものを言わせて実装（都合2つの動画を同時に再生して必要なときに口パーツを表示）していたリップシンクの仕組みを、Android版でうまく再現出来るのか…という検証が必要です。また、出来たとして想定するスペックが無茶じゃないかといった事も重要です。

　まぁ…Android版の検証も新たな創作作業も、引越を終えてネット回線なども使えるようになる時期になってから本腰だと思います。ですので、暫く目立った更新が出来ないかなと思います。支援の方も気軽に外して貰って構いません。また貴方にとって興味深い事をはじめたなと思ったらご支援頂ければと思います。
