Mako Energy

For the next one up this month, I decided to work on Mako (a new OC of mine)!! ?

So, last month I shared Edge with you all as part of a personal project I’m slowly working on. I also did a sketch for another character from that project, Mako.

This month, I decided to give Mako a bit of a spotlight and develop him a bit more. ?

Just to give you a bit of story behind him, I’m thinking he’s Edge’s companion. He is an ambassador of sorts and his special “expertise” lies in the transfer of knowledge, which he does by means of an exchange of bodily fluids… so, for example, when the pair find themselves in new surroundings, he might be able to kiss an individual from that place and learn how to speak their language… and of course he could then share that information with Edge with another kiss (or, some other exchange of fluids… ??).

As with anything in this project, nothing is set in stone just yet, since I haven’t fully decided who everyone really is, so I’m looking at this as a possible option for his lore and a possible design. Perhaps Mako will end up looking completely different, and maybe this character will get a new name or be restyled… it’s all part of the process, as they say!! ?

That being said, I’m pretty pleased with this character regardless and I took a little extra time (hence the slightly later upload than usual) to add one or two extras and try a couple of things that I wanted to do.

You Beasts will have variants in there of course, some with different backgrounds, alternate finishes (one or two arty ones I liked the look of) and with/without body hair, as well as all the usual 4K versions, timelapses, workfiles etc. ?
