Barret

The next one up this month is Barret Wallace (from Final Fantasy VII)!! ?

So, we recently had the release of “Final Fantasy VII: Rebirth”, and as an avid fan of the franchise (and 7 in particular) I’ve been very, very excited for this!!

Naturally, I felt like I really should do a pic as a nod to the franchise, and while there are many awesome characters (some of whom I’ve never drawn before), I decided that for this one, I wanted to do Barret again and really show him off!! ?

I’ve loved Barret since he was just a handful of polygons back in the 90s, and that’s only grown with the new versions. Of course, I wanted to be sure to do him justice, so I tried to really go into as much detail as I could everywhere from his pecs to his package… ?

The colouring style wasn’t quite what I’ve been doing recently, but also wasn’t what I was aiming for… but I’m not mad at it (though I don’t know where I’d begin trying to replicate it again since I’m really not sure how I got to where I did)!! ?

Honestly, if I’d had more time, there’s actually a lot more I probably could have done too, but I think, at least for now, I’m happy with this one.

You Beasts will have variants in there with different backgrounds, with/without mess and with different lighting/colour finishes… as well as all the usual 4K versions, timelapses, workfiles etc. ?
