Dragon Domination

The most powerful weapon of the Empire is their soldiers: with the introduction of pyromancy, rune magic and other forms of spellcasting, the reach of the army was able to expand beyond Europia, conquering and subjugating lesser kingdoms to the Queen's might.

However, as the years goes by and more expansionist campaigns are deployed, the overconfidence for its magic and arrogance of the army's leadership over its enemies ended up exposing a glaring weakness to their force. 

The sisters Jann and Jarv were prodigies being trained under Henrietta's forces. Many believed after a few missions they would have their own troops to command, climbing the army ranks as fast as their own teacher. With their powerful magic and nothing able to withstand the two, soon an important mission was relayed to Henrietta: she would have to conquer a fortress from the Draconate Empire, an eastern dinasty as big and powerful as the Empire.

The draconates were powerful sorcerers - once humans, it's believed, although the more powerful a draconate is, the more similar to its dragon ancestors they were. Organized in a magecracy on which the most powerful spellcaster ruled, the draconates had their own battlemages to match the Empire's own.

Henrietta was feeling odd about that mission. It was a too sudden and their target too defensible. It was almost as... She was expected to lose.

But the Queen didn't give her an option. She had to conquer the fortress and prove her wrong!

In the end, she couldn't expect they would be joining forces with the draconates - by an unexpected (and surprisingly spicy) way ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
