Into Baba-Set's Temple [TEASER]
This won't be the most exciting batch of pages to read, but I can't tell you how much fun it is to conceive and render the architecture of the depths of Baba-Set's subterranean temple. Fans of the original Brides of Baba-Set comic will remember the long build-up before seeing the bull-ape himself, which I think establishes the stakes and tension and gives the Egyptian god his due gravitas.
In addition to that, these pages are fun for me just because I get to dabble in a type of drawing that I usually don't -- grand, majestic, mythical architecture. This scratches the LOTR and D&D side of my brain (you'll hopefully get some Moria vibes from these pages). Overall it just helps to establish a space and setting, which can be absent from a lot of my work (or at least less fantastical).
Enjoy, and stay tuned for more soon. We're almost at the chamber of the Great Defiler himself!
