The opening price is the most important pivot for the short-term trader.

對短線交易者來說，開盤價是最重要的樞紐點。

If the first 15-minute bar of the day is greater than the previous first 15-minute bar of the past 7 days, there are high odds for continuation in the direction of the initial move. Early range indicates strong supply demand imbalances.

如果當日第一支15分鐘K線的長度，長於過去7天的首15分鐘K線的話，則首15分鐘的走勢方向，會很有機率延續。開市的range expansion，意味著市場出現強烈的供需失衡，「趨勢日」(trend day)出現的機會率大增。

隊長按：「趨勢日」(trend day)是Linda的交易術語，意指該單一交易日「由開市升到收市」或「由開市跌到收市」（price moves in one direction for the entire session）

Heavy volume on the opening or during the first 15 minutes of the day can also indicate early supply/demand imbalances and thus an increased probability of a trend day.

開市後首15分鐘的成交量激增，也可能是供需失衡的跡象，趨勢日出現的機率上升。

A large gap in the opening price creates a different set of patterns. If price gaps outside of the previous day’s range, the first move should be for the market to make a push back into the gap area. If the push into the gap area is minimal or nonexistent in the first 30 minutes, this indicates potential for a strong move IN the direction of the initial gap.

開盤價出現大幅跳空，會形成不同的模式。如果價格跳空到前一天的交易區間外，市場理應會嘗試回補跳空區域。如果在首30分鐘內，回補跳空區域的力度很微弱甚至近乎零，這表明價格極可能，會沿著初始跳空的方向強勢移動(按：即gap up的續升、gap down的續跌)。

If the move back down into the gap area is moderate, watch to see if support or resistance comes in around the previous day’s high or low.

如果回補跳空區域的力度不強不弱，要觀察在前一天的高點或低點附近是否出現支撐或阻力（按：即gap up的話，上一日day high比較大機會成為支持；gap down的話，上一日day low比較大機會成阻力）。

If the price is unable to show continuation in the direction of the gap in the first hour, the gap may likely have been a bull or bear trap and set up a trend day in the opposite direction of the gap.

如果在首一小時內，價格無法在跳空方向上延續走勢，這個跳空可能是多頭或空頭陷阱，gap up的話可能會跌到收市，gap down的話可能會升到收市。

Either way, there is increased likelihood of range expansion after a large opening gap。

無論如何，大幅開盤跳空後，價格區間擴大的可能性會上升。

If there is no price action below the opening price after the first 30 minutes of trading, the odds increase that the market will close on its high for the day.

如果在交易開始後30分鐘內沒有出現低於開盤價的交易，則市場當日收在最高點的機率增加。

If there is no price action above the opening price for the first 30 minutes of trading, there are high odds the market will close on its low for the day.

如果在交易開始後30分鐘內沒有出現高於開盤價的交易，則市場當日收在最低點的機率很高。
