実は今回のイラストは新しくマージしたモデルを使用していました。というのも前回あたりからキャラクターの顔のノイズが気になったためでした。現行のモデルも1か月以上前に作成したもので、ちょっと古くなったかなと思い、最新モデルをいろいろマージしてみました。

結果として、ノイズの原因はモデルではなくサンプリングステップ数の不足でした。サンプリングステップ数を30で生成していたのですが、これはあくまでhirefix×1.5の際の適正値であり、最近変更したhirefix×1.75では適正サンプリングステップ数は50程度だったという訳です。

どうしてもすぐにモデルに解決策を求めたくなってしまいますが、こういった基本的なところをちゃんとしておかないとなと反省した次第でした。

Actually, the illustration this time was created using a newly merged model. The reason for this was that I started to notice some noise in the character's face from the last time. The current model was also one that I created over a month ago, and I thought it might be a bit outdated, so I merged various latest models.  

As a result, the cause of the noise was not the model, but a lack of sampling steps. I had been generating with a sampling step count of 30, but this was a suitable value for hirefix×1.5, and for the recently changed hirefix×1.75, the appropriate number of sampling steps was around 50.  

I often find myself wanting to immediately look for solutions in the model, but I had to reflect on the fact that I must properly handle these basic elements.
