February Plans Post dropping this evening + Song Recommendation

I’m currently taking a break to set up my work station to work on backlog fixes all night. I’m letting Blaire rest, she’s taking a nap, and then easy to read graphics will be curated for our visual learning chingoos out there. We will then drop the February Schedule and Plans post this evening as soon as it’s ready.

As for me… Well, I’ve been suffering from intense nightmares for a year straight now which has made it impossible for me to sleep well or consistently.

Last night, I slept really late at 3AM and was up all night. I slept less and yet—I had a good dream for the first time. In fact, I had a happy dream, and it brought me so much joy. Blaire even told me that I seemed different this morning, I sprung right out of bed chipper whereas I usually take a while.

It was a really really hard 3 days for both Blaire and I, in many ways that we are not electing to share, just yet. But we did the scary things, we did the brave things, and we’re doing a whole lot better.

It rained last night where I’m at and I’ve been totally in my feelings listening to some NCT DREAM and crying my eyes out, but I feel a lot better. It only further cemented them as one of my favorite ults, but also a stark reminder how important Music is in our lives and regulating emotions.

So I’d like to PERSONALLY recommend this song from an acquaintance of mine, ALEYNA MOON. If you love Red Velvet or aespa, you’ll love ALEYNA’s personal style.

Her vocals have improved drastically since I first met her many years ago and the music she’s been putting out has been INSANE. I’ve been reconnecting with her and I really want to recommend SUCKER PUNCH, which is actually a duet with another singer: Picassio.

The views are criminal on SP and I urge you check her out because I know she has all the makings to be an incredible talent in the future. As Blaire said to me when she heard me jamming to this on repeat, “Who is this? Why does this sound like Wendy & Seulgi?” And so if you LOVE Red Velvet, I think you’ll love Alayna’s style.

Seriously, the lyrics are incredible, I ranted and raved about this song to ALEYNA, and conceptually my god it’s the kind of track I’d want to produce for a girl group—concept, music video, and all. So big thumbs up from me! It’s such an addictive good song you’ll have it on repeat once you really get into the groove of it. She even has a song called ‘<3throb’ which, I swear is like a whole aespa song by herself and could have been on that Drama album.
