Yume Niko log 1
⚠️CAUTION!!!! Please try to read my full post before watching the video, it'll provide context. Or at the very least, you get a gold star from me at the end. Thank you:]
This is extremely early game development. There's more asset work done than engine; so you are not able to see much in this video
Much like Yume Nikki, I will try to operate with; reality, a dream world, and maybe something similar to effects. [have yet to figure out what I want to do in that later department]
I have made different versions of "worlds" as "warm ups". You'll see a lot of jumbled ideas and many blank spaces in this video, but, I assure you, it's all coming together
Sorry [video] is extremely quiet. There might be one startling noise at 1:07

Last time we left off with Yume Niko, it was a concept. Slowly overtime, against my rpgmaker-traumatized heart, I bravely stepped back into the engine....
And worked.
It's certainly kicking my ass. I've never felt more humbled, haha.
This project is a breath of fresh air, and I'm excited to see what I can create. So far, creating the "dream" realm vs reality is fun. Since I've started this project, I've kept a closer eye on my (actual) dreams, to see what inspires me.
You would be surprised how many times one would still fall into old habits and go through the devastation of believing you missed out on a really, really awesome dream.

in Yume Niko, you’ll play as a potentially depressed gal who loves animals and has a million hobbies. She just moved into her new apartment, and has a cuuuuute design! Maybe this is Niko? Who knows.
Her dreams are based on my own, friend’s dreams, and a mixture of other media.
