quick update - the service i use for most of my generation has been having data center issues for the past few days so it's been taking, quite literally, 10-20x longer for my standard workflow

fortunately, it seems things are normalizing and i can create at regular speed again so while i would normally have a post for today it'll probably land sometime tomorrow!
