Palina Low on Air | ガラナの窒息する水中上昇

Palina the master pearl diver of the Pearl Clan ascending rapidly back to the surface after staying submerged too long underwater. Originally she was thinking of checking out the long ago sunken ship briefly for any valuables and historical artifacts. But her exploration was cut short by a Tentacruel guarding the ship perhaps. A brief struggle ensued with the Tentacruel's superior strength and binding preventing Palina's movements before in an act of desperation stabbed the pokemon with her knife in a bid to release her. Now she has to ascend the many meters back to the surface, low on air and with a hurt leg. But she knows she can make it no matter what, for she is the protector of the noble Arcanine, warden of Firespit Island. Author's note: This art piece was originally meant to post in Winter Comiket 2025 under the UW Joint Illustration Project organized by 10thTeraichi-san. However, this was not allowed due to strict regulation of "any franchises and works not tolerant of doujinshi and other fan-related content", so I'm forced to withdraw this one and post it in Fanbox instead.
