Giant Clam Predicament | シャコ貝のピンチ

If a pearl diver got their limbs stuck while harvesting a giant clam underwater, they should refrain from opening the clam by force. Their best chance of survival would be to wait patiently and hope the giant clam releases them or wait for help from other pearl divers from the surface. Suzu now however has very limited options as she is very low on air, on the verge of inhaling and her friends haven't known that she is stuck underwater yet. Try as she may, the hard shell resists any attempts of escape and even broke her trusty knife after numerous attempts. Her lungs now begging for anything to replace the hot and stale air she has been holding for minutes now. "Grllb!" Hard contractions rocked her entire abdomen and chest, almost causing her to involuntarily exhale all her air. She held on her last breaths valiantly but even her hands gripping tightly on her mouth and throat can barely stave off the trickle exchange of air and seawater. It's a matter of time before she... "Mmmmm! Mmmgrbbll!! MMMGHGHH!!!! BLARRGGHH!! GULP!!" Suzu breathed out her last dregs of air before her body immediately taking gulps of seawater. It did little to stave off her pain, jolts of pain radiate throughout her body. In desperation, her oxygen starved mind and body can only feebly flailed and kicked the offending shell but to no avail. "Grlbll...Mglug...GULP...gulp...mgrlbbll...gulp...mmmhh..." Slowly, Suzu's desperate movements slowed down to a feeble crawl. Her mouth opened widely to the open ocean, tongue lolling out as she weakly cycled in seawater back and forth. Her eyes slowly rolling back, patches of darkness creeping through her vision. The last sensation she can feel is her trapped leg gently being pulled from the hard carapace and the feeling of warmer water before falling into a deep slumber in the abyss.
