Update
I've really been playing Beat the Clock these last couple of weeks and losing. I've fallen behind on the amount of content I want to put out for you. I have encountered snafus and setbacks. On top of all of this, I have to leave town for five days and can't start creating again until next Wednesday. Let me give you an update on my progress.
The slides that I'm working on right now are going into the next two visual novels. I'm rendering at ridiculously high settings and making subtle revisions here and there that have forced me to reload every created session for the scenes so far. I am also layering 5 or 6 rendered images for every slide, each one with a slightly different lighting setting.
I've also had to create a number of simple props from scratch in Blender for the current scene. I've racked up some experience points and added some skillset arrows to my quiver, but it was time consuming.
I would have had just enough time to post-process 24 images tonight if I pulled an all-nighter. That's when I realized that Georgina didn't have any eyelashes. There were several other changes that needed to be made across all slides. I'm going to rerender everything now and let the computer burn through all of these images, even while I'm out of town if necessary.
Baring family emergency, this is the last significant trip that I have planned for the year. It will take a while to fully catch up, but I should have no problem reaching my weekly quotas starting next week. Don't hesitate to reach out to me if you'd like to request a one-month refund.
In other news, there was an issue regarding the company that was to deliver my MOCAP suits. After much negotiating, I'm pursuing a refund of my own, as there were unexpected additional expenses and ongoing expenses associated with this equipment. A new company has emerged that will be able to meet my MOCAP needs for a fraction of the cost. This includes facial tracking. Once I'm reimbursed, I'll be ordering one test suit and the real fun will begin for this channel. My wife is a good sport and I'll be able to snapshot hundreds of poses of her in a single session. The suit will greatly improve my workflow with both animation and digital photo sets.
Finally I have discovered a brand new jiggle physics plugin, compatible with Blender 4.5. This was at the top of my wishlist, other than DAZ 5.0.
I thank you for all of your patience. Your support means everything to this project and keeps me going.
