Early Access: First Time Watching Shawshank Redemption 1994 - YouTube Reaction

Wow this movie... I cried, I laughed, and then I cried some more. Andy Dufrane might be one of the best characters ever written... to start with I wasn't sure if he killed his wife or not, but as the film went on I became CONVINCED he didn't do it!

Some Andy highlights for me have to be...

Doing the prison guards tax returns in exchange for some cold, crispy beers on the roof
Locking himself in the warden's office and playing opera music throughout the whole prison
Sending a letter every week for 6 years to get more funding for the prison library
And obviously... the greatest prison break of all time haha!

Truly a fantastic character... I really loved him.

Morgan Freeman was also absolutely fantastic, probably the best role I've ever seen him in.

However I did basically have a breakdown when Brooks left prison and... well, you know :(
