Galadriel and Celeborn in Doriath

I've have terrible art block and so tried to shake it off with some fan art in a new technique. This was supposed to just be a line art piece and whoops, I just kinda kept going. I actually hated working this way but it was good to try something new.

It's easy to forget that Galadriel is a wife and mother. She met Celeborn in the hidden (and doomed) city of Doriath. She was the exiled Noldor princess. He was a prince of Doriath. She came to the city after decades spent crossing the Helcaraxë (The Grinding Ice) as her fellow elves died around her. They were so new to the world that they didn't even have words for death. I like to think Celeborn was her soft place to land after decades of ice. He's mostly Just Ken.

Galadriel's name means "crowned in a radiant garland." Celeborn gave her the name for how she wears her hair in exercise and battle. Her mother named her Artanis, meaning "man maiden." Rude, but accurate. It's in reference to her being buff and tall, so of course her feet are the same size or bigger than his.
