I have added a link to the author's X, if any.
I will revise the past ones when I have time.
Since comics always reflect the historical background, I decided to include the year of publication as well: ☺️
2005 Mew and Lucario the Brave of the Waves Author Ihara Shigekatsu
I'm going to put aside the movie's quality for a moment and judge the comicalization of the Pokemon movie version only on the fun and completeness of this one.
I'll judge it only by how interesting and complete it is in this one book: ☺️
It seems that there are none in the early works and all from Jirachi. The quality of the vacation series also varies quite a bit depending on when it was painted.
I guess the early films don't have them, and everything after Dexys does.
I can say that this film is one of the most difficult Pokémon comic books to get,
I was lucky to get a book in good condition ?.
I can usually buy it on Amazon, though.
I like the movie Lucario.
Before I read the book, I was worried if the movie could fit in one book. I was worried that I wouldn't be able to fit the movie in one book.
And the author uses a lot of spreads and big sesame seeds.
I was worried that I wouldn't be able to read the whole movie in one book.
I have to say that I have to say that this is the quintessential Ihara Shigekatsu.
It doesn't feel like he was forced to work hard to fit it all into one book.
It has a high level of perfection, as if it had been a book from the beginning.
The detailed episodes of the anime are cut out and the story moves along at a half-hearted tempo.
But the important parts are carefully drawn.
The scene where Aaron was petrified was a bit shocking in the movie.
In the manga, he is completely petrified in that form, just like Tetsuro in “Galaxy Express 999.
It was like a homage to the stuffed scene of Tetsuro's mother in Galaxy Express 999.
And then Lucario, having exhausted his power, says he wants to go back to Master Aaron.
He was petrified next to Aaron.
The last page shows a picture of Aaron and Lucario supposedly returning together to the princess 200 years ago.
I started reading the book before going to bed and quickly read it all the way through.
It took me 20 minutes to read it, but it was very satisfying.
I might have raised the bar for the Pokemon movie comicalization because of reading this.
...I think it all started because Mew kidnapped Pikachu, and moreover, one of the adventurers who is a friend of Mew's is a Pikachu.
And moreover, it's because one of the adventurers who is pretending to be a friend of mine attacked Pikachu....
If not for that, Lucario wouldn't have died...
But I guess it's good that he got back to Aaron... ?.
Recommendation ★★★★★★★☆☆☆ 2005
