Tank girl Valery [wip gif]

This took like a solid month to do. Not consistently, mind you, just through the course of not forcing myself to draw when I really didn’t feel like it. But even when I picked the pen back up, it was still quite the hefty load to carry.

I made this in honor and celebration of reaching 2,000+ fans on Newgrounds not to long ago from today. And the reason I cosplayed my girl Valery as Tank girl is because tank-guy is the mascot of the website, but than again he never looked to punk or apocalyptic. It just fit the girl’s style and I am a fan of Jamie Hewlett’s art from the Gorillaz. This is a pretty damn intense drawing I did here. I didn’t expect it to come out looking this dramatically cool. I knew something had to impress me by the time I finished considering how much work I put into it. And as usual, because she’s an OC of mine, she wasn’t super well received online. I don’t think anyone hated it per say, just didn’t care that much. Which sucks dick,but I guess that’s show business for ya. Go figure.

Anyways, she’s a mondo badass, and nothing makes me happier than to see how gorgeous this is, my efforts were not in vain as far as I’m concerned. I tackled a mountain of a work load and emotional stress to complete her, so this has got to be one hell of a milestone for me. I remember, towards the end, I started drawing this and watching Cromartie High. God damn that’s a funny show!
