Madara Uchiha [wip gif]

This is me not only testing out my iPad, but also it’s me finally fucking drawing the best guy and coolest most based hairiest man in the ninja planet! I love Madara the hedgehog Uchiha! This guy is a concreat badass, and therefore was the candidate to my return to drawing more guys I like in anime.

He was part of a small scale experiment to see how well I can draw guys still, after having doodled nothing but hot chicks for 6 years, and seeing how well my audience would respond to it. Obviously, he underperformed compared to the waifus, but it wasn’t that much of a surprise. Most of my cool shit gets under appreciated. But I gotta say, he was kinda hard to approach. Drawing him felt like I was going back to my roots, drawing nonstop Naruto since 2005. Moreover, I wasn’t sure for awhile how I want to draw him.

I wanted to, instead of putting a lot of my style into him, make him look more like Kishimoto’s style. Other than Toriyama, Kishimoto is the mangaka I learned from the most. I was honestly flattering myself, watching me do a better job at recreating something than was so dear to me growing up. I couldn’t help but think back at the times went I was 10 trying hard as hell to make my drawings look like the show. I feel like I’m in a good position to do a justice now!
