Geordie growth animation, WIP Images

Hey guys!

Sorry for the lack of posts, this small project has been a struggle design-wise, I had to figure out a way to make a growth animation work in a small environment, and make the environment change to fit that growth. A small bathroom like this was a challenge to design. 

First off the design itself was pretty hard to come up with, I spent entire days browsing Pinterest to find the right look I was aiming for. As well as that, making the environment work for large growth was also an issue. I had to design the shower in a way for it to move side to side, and have the glass wall in the shower also rotate, meaning both the shower door and the shower head swing back to give more open room. All the furniture also moves, the sink can slide, and the toilet can unbuckle and move. 

Lighting was also an issue, I had to figure out a way for a character to fill up the entire space without totally covering the lights making it dark or badly lit, So I placed a lot of lights in the ceiling and along the wall and window so no matter what direction they grow in it's always well lit. 

Anyways now that the environment is finished, I'm starting the animation part. Since this will be a relatively short project it won't take too long to get finished. 

I placed Geordie in the room and posed him to see how it would look and I think it looks pretty hot seeing him all cramped and tightly squished in there after a very pleasing growth spurt~
