Beneath the wind-scoured foothills, where the snow never fully melts and the rock itself seems chewed and broken, a lost shrine has cracked open like a split jaw. The gnolls have found it—and in doing so, awakened the Maw Beneath the Shrine, a bound hunger spirit that feeds through slaughter and feast alike. The packs that gather there are no longer merely starving raiders: wounds seal as they eat, their howls carry for miles, and the longer a fight lasts the stronger they become. Each kill widens the fissure in the stone, each ritual brings the Maw closer to tasting the world directly. If the shrine fully opens, the land will not be conquered—it will be consumed.

Gnoll Maw is a Fifth Edition adventure designed for 3-5 characters of 5th-7th level, but can be adjusted to fit parties up to 13th level. Tables throughout the adventure give details on how to adjust the challenge to meet parties of higher levels.
