A frozen gust rolls across the steppe, carrying wisps of fresh-fallen snow. Two mammoth calves flinch beneath their mother’s legs; she steadies them with a gentle nudge, her tusks bobbing like driftwood above their backs. The father stands a short distance off, ears twitching, trunk raised. Behind them: the stamped hollow of dirt and snow grass where they last slept, already half-buried. Ahead: five hundred miles of cracked ice, hard snowpack, and whatever else awaits them on the ancient migratory path. They are the last of their kind. They’ll be watched. They’ll be hunted. But the trail must be walked.

Mammoth’s Trail is a Fifth Edition adventure designed for 3-5 characters of 5th-7th level, but can be adjusted to fit parties up to 13th level. Tables throughout the adventure give details on how to adjust the challenge to meet parties of higher levels.
