The town of Pommera seemed like any other—peaceful, nestled in the shadow of Mount Vesurion—until the strange apparitions began to appear. At first, they were nothing more than fleeting shadows, pale figures glimpsed at the edges of lantern light, fading with the dawn. Though the spirits seemed harmless, their presence soon set the townsfolk on edge, turning their quiet lives into a blur of whispered fears and sleepless nights. The local priest, in desperation, tried to banish them through prayer and ritual, but to no avail—the ghosts remained, unmoved by holy words.

When the characters arrive, they find a town on the brink, frayed by the ceaseless presence of these spectral visitors. It isn’t long before they uncover the chilling truth: these are bussengeists, omens of impending catastrophe. As the revelation sinks in, the earth begins to tremble beneath their feet, and a deep, thunderous rumble erupts from Mount Vesurion. The ground shudders, ash spills into the sky, and the air thickens with the stench of sulfur—the warning of the bussengeists has come true, and the eruption is underway.

This Fifth Edition adventure is designed for three to five 14th-level characters.
