Otters

Hey, so I wanted to draw some specific otters since I will be drawing them a lot more now. They are like a servant harem and mostly female; the males hunt for fish, so they are rarely seen, but some males prefer the more comfy jobs, so they stay with the females. 

I also did some practice as well and thought you might like seeing the sketches. Also, here is some more written info about each one of them, if you'd like to read a long text:

Lani (female)

Lani is very quiet. If she’s approached, she likes to answer in nods and huffs rather than words. She is shy, but if you can get her alone, one on one, she can open up rather easily. She will still be careful to watch for signs that you might not be her type, though, so try your best to accommodate her soft and gentle nature. Although she’s shy, she always stays close to the group and is afraid of being left behind. She likes listening to the wind and sea.

Marina (female)

Marina is the twin sister of Maris; they are similar, however, Marina is just a smidge more vindictive. She will talk bad about her friend behind their back. She likes taking others down because she's rather broken inside and she is searching for validation by making her friends laugh about other “lesser” creatures. Always being mistaken for her sister when they were younger gave her a big need to stand out and be something more.

She still loves her sister, though. And she will stop bothering people if they talk to her sternly.

Selene (female)

Selene is the oldest; she’s the Mother of Marina and Maris and a lot more otters. Because of her dozens of children she had over the years, she doesn’t really bother with them much, which most of them are okay with. Marina, however, is still always trying to impress her. She is very kind and loves taking care of expecting mothers. She is very experienced with men as well; they help her relieve stress.

Kali (female)

Kali thinks before she talks but will act like a dunce most of the time just to mess with people. She likes to be silly because she thought about her life and this world a lot, and in the end, she realized, nothing really matters so she will just have fun. A lot of others are annoyed at her constant joking and seeming inability to be serious. But if she doesn’t see the point in something, she won’t even try.

Kali doesn’t really wish harm on people but if they get in her way, she won’t stop just for them. She has a big heart, however, and if you talk to her, she will try her best to do good by you.

Sela (female)

Sela is rough around the edges, and inside too. She will cause conflict and won’t accept you walking away from it. If the air is thick, she will speak up. Many think she’s very rude, but she’s honestly just extremely afraid of people leaving her or the group if the conflict isn’t immediately resolved.

She likes pushing her limits with exercise and motivating others to do so as well.

Maris (female)

Maris is the twin sister of Marina; she likes her sister but worries a lot about her. She knows that Marina often feels inadequate behind her bully mask. But Maris still always laughs at Marina's mean jokes about her “friends,” even though she feels bad about it. Without Marina around, Maris is a very kind soul and will always ask how you feel and if you need something. Many ask her why she always hangs out with her sister because she’s so mean compared to her. But Maris would never ever leave her behind.

Maris likes to impersonate others for fun with her sister to make her laugh; she likes the creative aspect not the mean nature of it, though.
