IMPORTANT NOTICE FOR FEBRUARY (New and Current Patrons Please Read)

I got my hands on an RTX 3090 (Paid for by support from you guys! Thank you again. <3) but I'm a huge idiot and in the process of upgrading the PSU, I used the wrong power cable for my SATA drives and fried (literally) all of them. One of those drives was the one that contains all of my art-related files including assets and project files.

I have Backblaze, but being a huge idiot, I was throttling its upload speed significantly and it was very behind... 300 gigs behind.

I don't know if I've mentioned this before, but I work on many pieces simultaneously. In this case, 13 at once.

Backblaze backs up smaller files before backing up larger files, so the most important things that I lost are my photoshop files on *most* of my ongoing pieces, some of which have been in progress since October. The ones that were still in the early stages I can easily restart from the 3D stage of the process, but the ones that were done or almost-done I can't re-do.

Some good news: I have a habit of exporting lower-res test images as I work, which Backblaze did back up, so I actually have all of those pieces... but in slightly under 2k res. In some cases I also lost some alt-versions too.

So what does this mean? Well for one, I can't do any 3D stuff (but I can do postwork) until I get my backup files from Backblaze. This actually doesn't really affect you guys very much because I still have the lower-res images of the pieces that I lost, and thus I still have more pieces. What I can do now is finish up the postwork on those low-res pieces and keep releasing them this month.

However, this does mean that for pretty much the rest of this month, I can only release lower-res images rather than the usual 2k and 4k. I would pause billing for this month if I could, but I can't, because Patreon only allows me to pause for next month. Since (hopefully) by next month everything should be back to normal, pausing billing doesn't make any sense, especially for any new Patrons in March. The only thing I can really do is offer refunds.

I understand high-res images are a major perk of being my Patron, if not the primary one. So, if anybody for any reason wants a refund just send me a DM and I'll give you a refund. No questions asked, I completely understand, I won't hold it against you, and in fact I encourage you to do so.

What about data recovery?

I've gotten multiple quotes from professional data recovery services but it's pretty damn expensive and might not even work at all. I still might do it. If I do it and it miraculously *does* work, it'll still already be close to March. In that case then I'll just retroactively release the recovered 4k and alt versions.

Hey, on the bright side I didn't fry the 3090 so once we're back up and running and I can do 3d stuff again, it should speed up my workflow significantly (and also *hopefully* let me do stuff like put all the K/DA girls in one picture).
