May Pinup Preview!
"Yo, the sun's all gleamin' and rad today! Let's hit the park and get some sick knarly pops in, my dude!" Sassy trying her best at skater speech. XD
Ok, so I think I'm done with the whole detailed style experimentation for a bit. I was glad to see if I could, but ultimately it just wasn't as much fun, and took waaaaay longer to finish each drawing.
This year I want to position myself to start working on something more than just pinups. I know I've mentioned this in the past a few times. But this year I am working hard to get ahead by creating a backlog of art to share on Patreon, so that later this year I have a few months of spare time to experiment with some new, larger projects, without missing Patreon posts.
I'd like to experiment with short comics, and perhaps even some small games, using my character art. This means two things:
First, I'll need some time just to learn the essential skills for making comics and/or games, since I am a newb to these things, and getting a few months ahead will help greatly with at least giving me a foundation in those things.
Second, I need to start using a style that is more production friendly, and I think that a simpler style with flashy colors and bold shading is the way I want to go forward with this.
Essentially, I'm returning to the style I've been doing for most of the last couple of years, and going to work on refining that with what I learned during this recent detailed style experimentation.
Anyways, this is my thoughts for the future, and I hope you all are interested in tagging along! I've got some story ideas floating around in my head, and I'm looking forward to getting to work on that!
Disclaimer: This artwork is for May Patrons and won't be included in April's set. So stick around and remain pledged during May to get it! :)
