She then slid off the other before reaching down and peeling off one sock then the other, tucking them into her shoes. She stepped forward and bowed to Sensei Sato.

"My name is Cheryl Long, from Ohio."

"Welcome, Cheryl Long from Ohio." He said, giving the bow, a little shorter than hers. A smirk tugged at his lips.

"Oi, sensei ga mae ni tsurete kita kankōkyaku ga dō natta ka, oboeteru ka?" The first student in line said to the one next to him.

The next student replied with a smug snicker... "Aa, sono ato kyūkyūsha de byōin ni hakobarete itta no mo oboeteru ze!"

Sensei Sato gave a grunt and they both shut up instantly.
