Academy Plaza [33x46]

Hey everyone,

Just like with our last map, the Command Bridge, this is also the first map in a new series we're working on. By the end, they'll all be combined into a [Vista], like we've been doing for our Fantasy maps recently. It'll show an overview of the whole Academy and how the various locations fit together.

We haven't created a lot of utopian sci-fi maps so this is our take on that theme. You can obviously use the maps in any setting you want, but in our head cannon this is a futuristic eco-warrior academy. The students here study survival skills, advanced martial arts, psychic powers, space piloting, and xeno-biology. Their goal is to protect preservation planets from poachers, bio-pirates, and rogue companies who would destroy them for profit.

The architecture is inspired by the Garden in FF8 mixed with real world biophilic architecture, in particular from Singapore. This is just the central plaza, a hub space right in the middle of the much larger academy.
