pornspective.ai 2.4.0
Hi guys, so I've given the release to a few beta testers a couple of weeks ago and the feedback has been positive. So here is the new version of pornspective.ai. But before you dive in and give it a try I want to make sure that you understand the difference that this version now brings to the world of pornspective.
Previously I had an embedded model within the application, this was built around three years ago and although has proven to be very successful has limited me in producing updates. This was because I could not build locally and having to manually do each step was both hugely time consuming and problematic. So once I'd got a working model I kind of stuck with it!
As we know AI is moving at pace, computer vision is no different. So this release enters a new way in which the user choose a model. As a kick off, I've got the original model packed in previous versions, plus a RF-DETR model I've recently trained. This proves the concept that we can now place models in a folder and allow the users to choose the best suited for their needs. Well that's the vision!
So now when you install the latest version there will be no models provided in the install, instead you can grab the models from a download folder on mega.nz and place them in a local folder on your machine. You'll need to specify where this folder is through the "Local Settings" in the ai app. When the ai app loads it will scan this folder and load the models inside ready for the user to choose. Each model will have a metadata file (*.xml) which contains some background info and is displayed in the ai app to allow the user to best choose. The idea is that if some of you want to help build models then I'll explain how and we'll take a similar approach as we're doing with the artwork and pack files. I will also have time myself to train more models and make them available now that I've got a pipeline setup. So whilst the Original and RF-DETR models detect similar things, moving forwards there might be specialist models and finer tuned models for niches etc.
As always thank you for all the support! You can find the latest ai app download link in the Welcome Notes, together with a link to the Models Folder!
