Blender fluid simulations are very CPU heavy and take a long time to compute so they used to be a huge pain in the ass.

But a while ago i've gotten myself the flip fluids addon, which is fking awesome. It brings some very nice quality of life features among some other stuff. So with this addon its actually enjoyable and without it the last tifa tentacle vid i did was pretty much impossible.
