From the surface, it appears as an endless procession of massive waves. They don’t crash against the coast but roll and churn, as if the sea itself were boiling with fury. No one can predict when the Great Rip Current will come or end. It arrives without warning and vanishes without a trace. All living beings can do is learn to live under its rule.
