Embracing Hope

This drawing has many starting ideas. First of all it suggests a melancholic approach, a disheartened girl who clings to an enormous hope, but it can also be interpreted with a more pessimistic and nihilistic vision, that is, the same girl who hugs her last hope to her chest with the idea of putting an end to it, making it explode. personally when I thought about it it was precisely this second vision that was taking shape in my mind...and ultimately I think it is evident from how, although the girl's face is sad and dreamy, what her hands are doing is unmistakable...it is a bit like this to mean that everyone is often the architect of their own destiny, and destroying one's hopes is often a choice. let me know what you think.
