[study warmup doodle] Ocean day

I've already posted this here in the past but deleted it after several people on glace mistook her tail for her other leg and at the time it made me feel a little bad about the anatomy or rather the opacity of the water I went with, but I decided to post it
again with a disclaimer this time that the thing on the left is NOT her leg, it's her tail ?
Since I wasn't sure who to draw for this, I've let you guys decide on discord with a sneaky vote c: This was also done with posing a 3D model for a fun to draw pose as main reference with a challenging angle so great practise ?

this was another doodle from my study-doodle series in March that I used for practise and/ to get more familiar with some features of CSP, like the 3D model posing and just testing how they work for me when used as refs :) I honestly had a lot of fun experimenting, I'm not done with the things I want to try out and simply improve at using, getting  to actually work with the perspective grid is something else I always wanted to do so I'll most likely do that for April!
